Items not accepted changes daily and will be listed on dry erase board in store.
It is best to bring extra items to sell in case any
of your items is not being accepted.
Please call ahead to verify room for big furniture items.

Donations

We accept donations 24 hours a day at our kiosk located on the side of the Thrift Shop building.

It's easy to consign your items at the Maxwell Thrift Shop!

Simply purchase a contract for $0.25 as you come in the door, and list your items to be consigned.  One of our friendly volunteers will then assist you in checking your items in, and can even help you determine an asking price. For a list of items currently not being accepted due to overstocking or lack of space, click here. If you have more items than you can consign in one day, you can save time by purchasing additional contracts to fill out at home!

Clients may consign 16 items per contract (up to 10 item of which may be clothing).  The Thrift Shop retains 20% of the selling price per item, plus the  $0.25 contract fee.  For full contract details, click here.

Bring in an advertisement and we will post it on our sale board!  Submit ads to Dee at the consignment counter. Half-sheet ads cost $0.50 for one month, and full sheet ads cost $1.00 per month.  (Please, no advertisements for houses or vehicles)

Volunteers

Why should you volunteer at the Maxwell Thrift Shop?

The MGOSC gives away thousands of dollars every year to worthy causes, as well as funding a scholarship program for high school students from miltary families.  The money for all of this comes from our Thrift Shop, which cannot remain open without the efforts of its volunteers!  We need you - but what will you get in return?  As a Thrift Shop volunteer you will meet lots of new people and get the first chance to see all the great stuff coming in to the shop every day.  In addition, working at the Thrift Shop gives you valuable experience in retail sales and a great bullet to put on your resume.  Don't worry if you have never volunteered before - Reeba and the staff will teach you everything you need to know!
